Thisposition is responsible for the execution of all operational tasks required tomaintain existing network infrastructure and to document all changes that takeplace on the Data and VoIP platforms according to the establishedorganizational procedures and standards of Convergia networks.

Responsibilities:

·         Respond to supportrequests from customers via telephone and e-mail.

·        Installand configure LAN/WAN hardware equipment and software.

·        Provisionnew WAN connections on routers and multiplexers such as Ethernet, Wavelength,T1, DS3, DSL, OC-3, OC-12.

·        Troubleshootnetworking hardware, software and provide detailed analysis of networkingproblems by using the proper diagnostic tools for Ethernet, Fast Ethernet andGigabit Ethernet and wireless technologies.

·        Followup on opened trouble tickets with providers and partners to ensure quickresolution.

·        Maintainand monitor existing infrastructure internally and/or remotely.

·        Participatein new projects, in the planning and testing and implementation phases.

Qualifications:

·        Knowledgeof TCP/IP & routing protocols (OSPF-BGP-EIGRP-HSRP-MPLS VRRP etc..)

·        Knowledgeof VPN technologies (IPSEC – IKE – 3DES – Certificates etc..)

·        Knowledgeof Security architectures and firewalls (ASA, Checkpoint, IP tables, Palo Altoetc..)

·        Knowledgeof LAN architecture and VLANs.

·        Knowledgeof ATM and Sonet transport protocols and equipment.

·        Basicknowledge of VoIP protocols such as H323, SIP.

·        Excellenttroubleshooting and problem solving skills.

·        Experiencein the installation and maintenance of Networking equipment (routers, switches,firewalls, VPN concentrators, Voice gateways).

·        Minimum2 years hands on experience in real production LAN/WAN environment

·        2-3years experience with Routers and switches configurations and installations

·        Experiencewith monitoring tools such as MRTG, Nagios, Sniffer etc..

·        MinimumCCNA certification or equivalent experience is required.
