Job Description:
The Service Supervisor – Engineering will specialize in low, medium and high voltage to support our clients in the regions of Montreal and Ottawa.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Direct and develop the technicians to ensure quality services of engineering, commissioning of upgrades and migration projects, service calls and preventive maintenance;
• Manage labour use, number of productive hours, overtime approval, etc.;
• Monitor service reports, timesheets and expenses, manage resources to optimize overall use;
• Manage performance, performance objectives and vacations for technicians;
• Collaborate with the technicians to plan the weekly schedule;
• Visit the technicians frequently on the work site to ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards, client requirements, all quality assurance procedures and the technical guidelines;
• Collaborate with the sales team to support the process of preparing estimates and proposals;
• Assist existing and potential clients by recommending appropriate solutions according to their needs and the usage of our products and services;
• Ensure sales support for internal and external clients;
• Be alert to new technologies and keep team members’ technical skills up-to-date.
Language Requirement:
• Fluent in French (Reading, Writing and Speaking)
• Fluent in English (Reading, Writing and Speaking)
Critical Skills/Criteria:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial client support
• At least 1 year of personnel management experience
• Expertise with transformers, protection relays, medium and high voltage switchgears, speed variators, PLC, etc.;
• Excellent capacity for analysis and problem solving
• Good organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Good interpersonal skills and client focus
• Availability for work schedule providing support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and for travel
• Valid driver’s license
Educational Requirements:
• University or college degree in electrical engineering, industrial electronics or the equivalent
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
Relocation Assistance:

• Frequent travel required
